A short wild camp at Lily tarn the only proper winter wild camp I will do this year, this is because I'm going back to Afghanistan tomorrow. I had a few days off last week so shot to lake district but only had the time for something simple but at the same time it was stunning. The video is only short as I did not take much footage or pics as when I got to the top my camera went dead and I had not charged the spare battery so I resorted to my iphone 4s. Just looking forward to my return and I can get back on the fells.

This walk from Kentmere Church included Shipman Knott, Kentmere Pike, Harter Fell, Mardale Ill Bell, High Street, Rampsgill Head, High Raise (Martindale) and Kidsty Pike. I made my way back to Small Water via High Street and Mardale Ill Bell, this is where I did a wild camp. The weather was bad from 9:00pm all the way to 9:00am the following morning, well worth it though!

Camping overnight in Millican Dalton's cave can be a strange experience for a solo camper. However, the addition of a bottle of whisky and a pile of chicken kebabs makes the night much more comfortable! After a night camping in the hills I continued on my cycling trip to Patterdale, Ullswater, in the Lake District. The outward trip was a total of 92.5 miles. I had one full day at Ullswater, resting and sight seeing. Then I set off home again! this time I came back via a shorter more direct route, a mere 82.5 miles. I was really pleased with myself as I managed to get home to Durham from the Lake District in one day. I was seriously tired though! See my blog post about this cycle trip: eatmoreraw.net I used to have Chronic fatigue, IBS and periods of depression plus lots of other health challenges... not any more! To see how I got better then checkout my website and blog. Website: www.eatmoreraw.net Blog: eatmoreraw.net Health is a choice. Search long and hard, see how your body responds, make the right choices. Keep it simple and natural, low fat and not spiced up. Try not to eat animals or dairy. Try to keep off grain foods, minimise cooked food, eat more raw! Drink plenty of water, get sleep and rest.... and most importantly... play hard! Video Rating: 5 / 5
Inominate Tarn, Lakes - Windy windy nights sleep :) I could definitely have pitched my tent a little better for the wind (although it did change direction in the night) :-) Mines the Eden 1 which I was using for the third evening and had no idea whether it would hold up or not. Impressively so it just bent and buckled but didn't budge. Shame I neglected to bring any ear pugs for a sound nights sleep
